Paul Leaps from Top Window
to get to School on Time!

"I jumped from the window and saw..."

This is the story the year ones at St Mary's chose to write after learning that Paul had leaped out of a top floor window to get to their school on time.

It had seemed like a good idea at the time, staying with friends not far from the school, but things took a turn for the worse when he realised that the last person to leave the flat had locked him in.

He leaped from a window on the top floor flat and made it to school – slightly muddied, but unhurt - with about five minutes to spare.

This was enough time to discover that the headmaster knew his boat The Wayward Wasp. It has a yellow and black wasp on the bow - of course it looks like the mosquito from Over the Steamy Swamp.

"I jumped from the window and saw a slug, a snail and... a wasp... on the river!"
